Vinitaly 2016, Cracolici: “Sicily will send a strong message to the whole world”

cracolici_copy“This year, from Vinitaly, Sicily will send a strong message to the whole world: the story of the 'island of flavours' which, with its thousand-year history, makes the quality of its products and the beauty of its territory a winning brand and ready to compete with the challenges of globalization.”

The regional councilor for Agriculture Antonello Cracolici says so.

“ On the occasion of the fiftieth edition of the International Wine and Spirits Exhibition, from 10 to 13 April, which will be inaugurated by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, the Sicily Region and the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily will promote 3 days of initiatives and debates between the stands of the 153 Sicilian wine companies that will exhibit in Verona – continues Cracolici. 34 Sicilian olive growing companies will also participate in the 'Sol' pavilion, dedicated to oil. We will tell our wine and the great stories of success, identity, tradition and innovation that have allowed the Sicilian wine sector to reach levels of excellence that were unthinkable until a few years ago. In addition to the event on 11 April with Oscar Farinetti, on 'Sicily and wine, between narration and beauty', the Region and IRVOS will promote 16 other initiatives where Sicilian wine will be discussed seen from different perspectives such as research, new technologies, culture, environment, health, lifestyles and wine communication strategies that become younger through the use of social platforms. We will also talk about wine and tourism together with the regional tourism councilor Anthony Barbagallo.”
