Vinitaly 2013 in the name of “Born in Sicily”
One hundred and fifteen wines, one for each company, divided into four large thematic areas (Top Wine, Terre del Nero D'Avola, Etna, Minor Islands). It is the wine list of Sicilian excellence "Born in Sicily". A tasting organized specifically for this 47th edition of Vinitaly and dedicated to the most authoritative names of the national and international press.
“It aims to be – states Lucio Monte, head of the technical-scientific area of IRVOS – an opportunity to study and verify the best oenological expressions of the island”. The tastings upon request will be held inside the Press Area of Pavilion 2 Sicily (corridor “i 155”) and journalists will have at their disposal a dedicated, comfortable and quiet room, specially set up with 36 stations, a wine list in folding format, a sommelier and a waiter to assist them for as long as necessary. “The specialized press – concludes Monte – has covered Sicily in recent years, giving it a leading and highly respectable role. Initiatives such as the 'Born in Sicily' tasting aim to replicate and increase the results achieved. The challenge this year is very strong and the competitors are fierce, but we can be sure of one thing: we will hear more about Sicily”.
