Sicily at the first edition of ViniSud Asia, the international fair for Mediterranean wines and spirits. It will be held in Shanghai, an emblematic city of modern China in full economic development, from 26 to 28 February. Brochures
Promotion of Sicilian wines and creation of qualified moments of tasting and meeting with operators will be the objective of IRVOS. The institution's participation is part of the Institute's internationalization project under the facilitative measures within the 2012/2013 Third Countries wine CMO. The activity in the IRVOS exhibition space will be handled by the PRC Re Pubbliche agency.
“First of all – they explain – there will be a daily happy hour activity with tasting of the wines of the companies present paired with typical Sicilian products and a wine bar area for free tasting of the products with the permanent assistance of a sommelier”. To guide Asian operators to the knowledge of Sicilian wines and territories, two master classes dedicated to the discovery of red wines and white wines conducted by an English Master of Wine are also planned. There will then be a "Food and wine corner", i.e. a space for culinary demonstrations that combine the wines of each Mediterranean region with various Asian and Chinese cuisines. This interactive space, located in the center of the hall, will be animated by Asian Chefs who will propose the association of Asian dishes with Sicilian wines in order to develop the current consumption of wine in Asia and make it part of everyday life. In short, the "Mediterranean connotation" of the initiative will constitute the appeal to attract operators in the sector.
Here are the companies present:
