Study trip to Alsace, territory in the foreground
Discovering the white wines of Alsace. This was the objective of the study trip organized this year by the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily for Sicilian producers and which took place from 10 to 15 July. Five intense days among vineyards, local cellars, territories. Nineteen Sicilian companies participated and had the opportunity to interact with successful wine producers from which to draw inspiration.
“It was a very interesting journey from a technical point of view. – comments Gianni Giardina of IRVOS, organizer and companion of the study trip – We followed the same organizational line as last year where the interest was focused on the red wines of Burgundy. In Alsace we had the opportunity to come into contact with producers from medium and large wineries and beyond".
In fact, the study trip gave the opportunity to learn about everything that revolves around the wine product, therefore not only the territory but also everything that concerns communication and promotion. “We tasted the best of their wines – continues Giardina – which, in general, are of medium-high quality. They enjoy good organization and good communication. Among the wines tasted, in addition to the typical ones, we also tasted their sparkling wine, the Cremant obtained with the classic method". Satisfaction therefore on the part of the Sicilian producers who participated. “Moreover, – comments the director Lucio Monte – the study trip to Alsace falls into the same vein as other initiatives carried out by the Institute and aimed at making other wine-producing realities known to Sicilian producers with a view to ever-increasing growth. more linked to the territory".

Public Consultation Update PTPCT IRVO 2025-2027
Public consultation for the purpose of updating the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (PTPCT) 2025/2027 In order to allow maximum involvement in the preparation of the update of the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil for the three-year period 2025/2027, all those who are interested are invited - in particular citizens, companies, consumer associations, representative trade unions, other entities operating in the territory representing particular interests - to send observations and/or proposals to the Person in Charge of the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (RPCT), which will be evaluated when drafting the document.
