Brazilian stop for Sicilian wines

san_paolo

Stop in Brazil for seventeen Sicilian wineries. From 20 to 22 June, the island's producers will have the opportunity to get to know the Brazilian market, which has over three hundred importers and more than twenty thousand labels from different countries, and at the same time make their wines known. An intense three days with an equally varied program that will consist of seminars, tastings and workshops. All in the beautiful city of Sao Paulo.

The Brazilian market is growing, importers and sales outlets are growing rapidly. But not only that, competence also grows at the same time. “The level of professionalism of the sommelier school is impressive. – comments Michele Shah, IRVOS collaborator and organizer of events around the world like these (Michel Shah Srl) – These students together with importers and restaurateurs will thus be the future decision makers of the Brazilian market”. However, Italian wine is already placed well, in third place, where however Lambrusco and Prosecco stand out. However, Brazil is opening up to new types of Italian wine, and in particular is starting to appreciate Sicilian wine a lot.

Among the prominent events of the three days is the seminar that will be held by Giovanni Bacigalupo, importer-agent of Italian Wines Selection: an expert in both the Italian wine market and the Brazilian market where he has lived and operated for almost twenty years. Bacigalupo was the protagonist of one of the Incoming events organized by IRVOS in Sicily.
