Stockholm and Copenhagen, the Sicilian wine that is popular
Stockholm and Copenhagen. They were the two destinations of a series of tastings and seminars organized by IRVOS with the collaboration of Michele Shah srl. Twenty Sicilian wineries participated. The number of attendees recorded during the meetings held on 26 and 28 February was very high.
A presence made up of professionals: importers, restaurateurs, journalists. Therefore, Sicilian producers and organizers were all satisfied.
Here are some important names among the almost three hundred visitors we had over the two days. Among the import companies for example in Stockholm, where the event was held at the Hilton Slussen Hotel, were Mats Claesson – Altia Academy, Michael Wising – Ward Vini AB and Anders Grenberger – Divina. From the most important restaurants, Henrik Heed of the Grythyttans Wine Academy, Ylva Lennartsson of Djurönäset and Christer Schröder of Radisson Blu. From Monopoly the head buyer, Sebastian Braun and Staffan Brännstam, chief editor. In Copenhagen the tastings and seminars took place on February 28th at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel. Among the importers present, Sigurd Müllers Vinhandel, Wine Group and Laudrup Vin & Gastronomi. Among the journalists, Flemming Kyed for the Sommelier magazine, Mariette Tiedeman for the Vinavisen website, Malene Smidt Hertz for the Danish national TV.
