Irvos, first step in Ispica with agri-food
The Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily and the Consortium of Carota Novella di Ispica PGI will collaborate and work together. It was announced yesterday afternoon on the sidelines of a workshop organized at the Ispica headquarters of the IRVOS laboratory.
“This is – explains the body's extraordinary commissioner, Giorgio Calabrese – the first step in what will increasingly become the responsibility of IRVOS”. In fact, the organization will soon embrace, in addition to the wine and oil sectors, the entire agri-food and fisheries area. “The IRVOS – adds Calabrese – and the Ispica laboratory in particular, thanks to the structure and the technical instruments it contains as well as the human resources, will become a point of reference for the Sicilian production chain”.

The president of the Consortium, Carmelo Calabrese together with the vice-president Massimo Pavan showed the progress made in just three years since the birth of the Consortium. And now through the collaboration with the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily the "leap in quality". The commissioner of the organization, Giorgio Calabrese, gave an interesting presentation, as a well-known nutritionist, on the benefits that come from the consumption of carrots. “For example, not all of us know – he said – that carrots are the only food to contain falcarinol. Important anticarcinogenic compound”. The IRVOS laboratory in Ispica will also become an active hub in the organization of agri-food in view of EXPO 2015. The director of the institution Lucio Monte was also present at the workshop which attracted many producers from the area.

Public Consultation Update PTPCT IRVO 2025-2027
Public consultation for the purpose of updating the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (PTPCT) 2025/2027 In order to allow maximum involvement in the preparation of the update of the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil for the three-year period 2025/2027, all those who are interested are invited - in particular citizens, companies, consumer associations, representative trade unions, other entities operating in the territory representing particular interests - to send observations and/or proposals to the Person in Charge of the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (RPCT), which will be evaluated when drafting the document.
