Best wishes to President Mattarella
Best wishes for good work to the new President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, from the Extraordinary Commissioner of IRVO Antonino Di Giacomo, the Director General Lucio Monte and all the staff of the institution.
In a letter sent to the Quirinale, the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil of Sicily compliments the nomination not only of a fellow citizen but also a "neighbor".
IRVO is in fact based in the same building as President Mattarella.
Here is the letter below.
Mr. President,
It is with heartfelt joy that I intend to send you, on my behalf, the General Director and all the staff of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil where I am honored to have been called to carry out the functions of Extraordinary Commissioner, my warmest congratulations for your appointment as President of the Italian Republic, an appointment which, especially in the difficult socio-economic context in which our country in general and, in particular, our beautiful Sicily finds itself operating, takes on particular importance and significance. While aware of the arduous and demanding but, on the other hand, very stimulating and engaging task that awaits you, we are certain that, in consideration of your undisputed and indisputable human and professional qualities, for your personal and family history, for your competence and sobriety, you will be able to deal with balance and wisdom with the complex issues that come to your attention. In therefore formulating the most sincere wishes for good work in the interest and protection of the country, of Sicily and last but not least of our city, I offer you, at the same time, the most
Best regards
The Starordinary Commissioner
Antonino Di Giacomo Pepe
