Expo, thanks to IRVO from Cartabellotta
Expo 2015 is closing and it's time to take stock. Sicily, with its BioMediterranean Cluster, comes out positive. An experience that also involved the officials and managers of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil of Sicily.
An agreement signed in April between Dario Cartabellotta, sole manager of the Cluster, and the then extraordinary commissioner of IRVO, Antonino Di Giacomo Pepe. The management and animation of the Sicily Wine Bar at the BioMediterranean Cluster were the activities provided by the institution. The general director of IRVO, Lucio Monte, is satisfied: “I would like to inform all IRVO staff that I received a phone call from Dr. Cartabellotta in which he thanks the operational contribution that IRVO, through the presence of its officials and managers, has made during these months of the Expo".
The director, in turn, congratulated "the result achieved, the result of tenacious determination and a concrete planning vision, which will certainly have positive implications on the territory of our island".
The BioMediterranean Cluster, which recorded 2.5 million visitors, with a constant growth in attendance, in fact received the Class Expo Pavilion Heritage Awards, intended for the pavilions and protagonists who were able to best interpret and communicate the theme of the Exhibition Universal. An award for having been able to represent and tell, with over 350 participating companies and around 100 municipalities, the spirit of Mediterranean cuisine, the value and meaning of intercultural comparison and the meeting between peoples, co-presence and integration.
