Ministerial Decree relating to the storage of PDO/PGI wines 2020

Producers are informed that it was published on the Mipaaf website Ministerial decree prot. n. 9341040 dated 11/26/2020.

“Provisions relating to the methods of application of article 223 of the legislative decree of 19 May 2020, n. 34, as amended by article 58-quater of the legislative decree of 14 August 2020, n. 104 containing "Urgent measures to support and relaunch the economy", converted, with amendments, by law 13 October 2020, n. 126 – Private storage of quality wines” relating to the allocation and disbursement of sums by way of aid for the private storage of bulk wines certified as DOP (DOCG, DOC) or capable of becoming such and bulk wines as IGT.

The object of the aid is the bulk wines suitable or certified as PDO and the bulk PGI wines held on 31 July 2020 (as shown in the storage declaration) and reported in the electronic register on the date of publication of the decree (26/11/ 2020), held in producers' factories or in other factories in the name and on behalf of the producer located in the national territory.

The quantity of wine for which you can submit your application may vary in the range between a minimum of 100 hectoliters and a maximum of 4,000 hectoliters.

L' amount of aid is fixed in 0.060 euro/hl/day for DOP wines it's at 0.040 euro/hl/day for PGI wines.

The storage period is fixed, at the manufacturer's choice, in 6 months

The Decree refers to subsequent further ministerial decree for the identification of control bodies responsible for the checks to be carried out and for the methods of the checks themselves (final checks in the storage closure company and any further administrative checks to be carried out by the control bodies)

The Decree refers to following Agea Circular for the implementation methods of the decree itself and for the related ones deadlines to adhere to (starting date for the submission of requests for aid by producers, electronic method on the SIAN portal of the application for access to the measure etc. etc.)
