IRVO Sicilia takes the island's excellence "on a journey" between Italy and Spain: appointment at Vinoble, VitignoItalia and Spumantitalia

Sicilian wines and sparkling wines are the protagonists in Jerez De la Frontera (Spain), Naples and Milan

An intense period begins for IRVO, the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil of Sicily, for the promotion of the island's heritage of excellence with participation in three prestigious wine events: Vinoble, in Spain, VitignoItalia, in Naples, and Spumantitalia, in Milan.

Vinoble 2024 – XII Edition – Spain

From 26 to 28 May IRVO landed in Spain for the 12th edition of Vinoble, the International Fair of Fortified and Noble Wines, held in the picturesque Spanish city of Jerez de la Frontera.

In collaboration with the Consortia for the Protection of DOC Pantelleria and DOC Marsala Wines, IRVO presented Sicilian wine excellences on this occasion through a tasting stand and a Masterclass entitled "DOC Marsala & DOC Pantelleria: Sicilian Wine Excellence", curated by the winemaker internationally renowned Gianni Giardina.

VitignoItalia 2024 – Naples

In June, IRVO will stop at the 18th edition of VitignoItalia 2024, the Italian wine event which takes place at the Stazione Marittima of Naples.

IRVO will join this prestigious Italian wine event to celebrate the eclectic nature of the island's wines through two unmissable Masterclasses: the first, dedicated to Sicilian Reds, will be held on 2 June and the other, on Sicilian Whites and Sparkling Wines, will take place on June 3rd.

National Festival “Spumantitalia” – Milan

On 4 and 5 June, Sicilian sparkling wines, the island's excellence, will be protagonists thanks to IRVO's participation in the fourth edition of the Spumantitalia National Festival, hosted in the former 1400s Convent, in the Cloisters of via San Barnaba in Milan.

The program includes a talk show entitled "The Italian Effervescence - Bubble's on the Road", followed by a focus on the future of Sicily's sparkling wine, with particular attention to research on native vines conducted by the Region in collaboration with the Regional Wine Institute and Sicilian Oil IRVO.

Furthermore, on 5 June, a Masterclass entitled "The Fruit in the Glass of Sicily" will be held, curated by the oenologist Gianni Giardina, who will present a selection of Sicilian sparkling wines from native vines.
