Cibus – XVI International Food Exhibition

The Regional Department of Agricultural and Food Resources of the Sicilian Region in collaboration with the regional institute Vini e oli organizes participation in the 16th edition of Cibus which will be held at the Parma exhibition center from 7 to 10 May 2012.
As is known, CIBUS - XVI International Food Exhibition, is a reference event for the Italian agri-food sector, the only platform that promotes the meeting of `Made in Italy` food with sector operators.

Despite all the manufacturing sectors struggling to recover the exports of the past three years, the Italian food industry continues to grow as demonstrated by the data for 2011 and the beginning of 2012.
For this reason Cibus becomes an interesting opportunity for Sicilian agri-food companies who will find interesting commercial development opportunities in the trade fair event thanks to the "incoming" service with which the Parma Fair Authority takes charge, also economically, of making people participate the buyers and categories selected to allow them a pleasant and profitable visit to the stands of the fair.

THE EXHIBITION STRUCTURE
This Department together with the Wine and Oil Regulatory Institute intends to create an area made up of appropriately designed stands capable of hosting agri-food producers, whose companies operate exclusively in the regional territory. The exhibition area will cover approximately 261 m2 with appropriately furnished stands to accommodate agri-food companies. In addition to the spaces intended for companies, an institutional area is planned where the Administration will carry out actions aimed at spreading knowledge and the specificities of regional agri-food products.

PARTICIPATION METHOD
The owners of companies who intend to participate in the event must present:
1. membership card completed in its entirety;
2. self-declaration regarding any aid received under the "minimis" regime and possession of the preferential requirements with a copy of a valid identification document.

SELECTION CRITERIA
The following may be eligible for selection:
· Companies producing and/or bottling extra virgin olive oil
· Craft and/or agri-food companies whose production under the heading "financed products" are eligible in theAttachment 1 which forms an integral part of this notice. The companies must also fall into areas C and D according to the provisions of the Sicily PSR 2007/2013. In the case of companies that market third-party products, it is necessary that these come from the aforementioned Areas C and D.
The admitted companies may be assigned to the exhibition boxes if the number does not exceed availability. Otherwise, a selection will have to be made based on the preferential requirements mentioned below.

The companies selected according to the aforementioned criteria will be informed via e-mail and/or fax by 2.00 pm on 27 April 2012.
However, definitive admission remains subject to the payment of the participation fee of 500.00 euros including VAT to be made by bank transfer to the following coordinates:

General conditions
Before submitting the membership form, the company is required to carefully read the conditions dictated by this notice and the self-declaration form (Annex 2), with particular reference to the aid received under the de minimis regime in the previous three years, taking into account the civil consequences and penalties in case of false declarations. In fact, the administration plans to carry out checks on the veracity of the self-declaration.
Failure to pay the participation fee within the terms indicated above will result in the exclusion of the company and possible replacement.
It is specified that the administration reserves the right to cancel participation in the event at any time, if the circumstances so require, without any right for the applicant to compensation or compensation.
It is specified that the shipping of the exhibition material will be the sole responsibility of the participating companies.
