CAEP, internships and internationalization
Selections open to participate in a paid wine internship period in the USA, Australia and New Zealand. The initiative is part of the collaboration that CAEP Italia and IRVOS have started since 2010 and which for two years has allowed young Sicilians to improve their skills in the wine sector.
The selections will take place on a date to be set in Palermo at the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily (via Libertà, 66).
Here are the requirements to participate:

Candidates must also present themselves with a CD/ROM or USB pen drive with the following documents stored:

During the meeting, a test of the candidates' linguistic abilities will take place.
The paid internships in the USA will take place from July/August 2012 until November/December, those in Australia and New Zealand from February 2013 until May/June.
The costs covered by the agreement between IRVOS and CAEP Italia are related to the registration fee, which includes visas and insurance. The selected participants will bear the costs of the trip; if they choose to fly to the USA with US-Airways they will be able to get the 15% discount.
To take part in the selections, contact the director of CAEP Italia, Francesco Ditta, via the following e-mail: [email protected].
Selections are also open for ten Sicilian companies that want to host as many young trainees from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the European Community states.
The interns are oenologists with practical harvesting experience in the cellar and laboratory and experts in marketing, sales and communication. Companies will therefore be able to make use of young people in order to create a global network of contacts, have qualified people in the company with international experience, exchange their way of doing winemaking with people in the sector from all over the world and from different realities, exchange ideas and projects, opening up to international markets at practically zero cost.
This project follows the IRVOS programmatic lines for the valorization of human resources. CAEP Italia and IRVOS will assist companies and trainees during their stay in Italy, will provide them with medical health insurance and will also take care of organizing extra-work activities, such as orientation seminars for the valorisation of the territory, a Italian and food and wine tours in Sicily.
