Assivob, the new organic association

“Assivob” is born, the Sicilian Organic Wines and Oils Association. The intent is to create a network between Sicilian wine and oil producers, trying to operate on multiple fronts, from research to safeguarding quality production and control. Presenting and supporting it is the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily.

“This is an initiative – explains the extraordinary commissioner of the body, Antonino Di Giacomo – which we support given the particular moment in which Sicily has the obligation to bring out all its peculiarities around wine and oil and above all the production biological."

President of Assivob is Alfonso Failla, owner of the oil mill of the same name. “The Institute – adds the general director of IRVO, Lucio Monte – will give every useful support to companies in the field of research and quality production and control in line with the organisation's mission”. The achievement of common objectives such as subsidized investments or promotion in intra- and non-EU countries are among the priorities set by the newly formed association, together with the "improvement of business processes by focusing on common standards of efficiency, quality control and experimentation of new products with collaboration of research institutions”, concludes Failla.
