AèD, the second edition. Memberships are underway
Second edition for the “Agriculture is Woman” Award and this year too IRVO is among the supporters. “Convinced, as happened in the world of wine, – comments the general director of the institution, Lucio Monte – of the fundamental role of women“.
The award was presented a few days ago in the presence, among others, of the regional councilor for Agriculture Antonello Cracolici: “It is a tool that enhances the Sicily of examples, – commented Cracolici – a way to restore pride to women who bet on their land and do business“.
Announced by the Order of Agronomists and Forestry Doctors of the Province of Palermo, in collaboration with the Regional Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Mediterranean Fisheries, with theTHERegional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily, with the Palermo Chamber of Commerce and the National Council of Agronomists and Forestry Doctors.
“Everything that is typical, excellence, transformation represents the frontier on which to focus to relaunch the Sicilian economy – Cracolici said again – The commitment, creativity and talent of our women in agriculture represents the added value we need to build a development perspective that looks to the future”.
The event, presented in the Basile hall of the Regional Department of Agriculture, was also attended by Salvatore Fiore, president of the agronomists' association, Lucio Monte, general director of IRVO and Antonia M. Scerrino of the Palermo Chamber of Commerce.
“The role of women in agriculture, as well as in other economic fields, – says Salvatore Fiore – becomes crucial in terms of success thanks to the organizational skills that distinguish them, we are therefore very happy to announce the second edition of the AèD award, also given the success recorded in the first edition”.
The award, whose aim is to enhance the role of women in the rural and environmental agricultural sector, is aimed at professionals (agronomists and foresters) and women exponents of female agricultural and agri-food entrepreneurship in the province of Palermo, who with their commitment have contributed significantly to social, cultural and economic growth.
“This year – specifies Ivana Calabrese, councilor and head of the organizing committee – women and interested businesses, which meet the requirements set out in the art. 2 of the regulation, in addition to being reported by the organizing partners and technical partners, they can participate in the prize by self-nominating by sending the application for participation to the Scientific Technical Committee by 29 February 2016.”.

Public Consultation Update PTPCT IRVO 2025-2027
Public consultation for the purpose of updating the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (PTPCT) 2025/2027 In order to allow maximum involvement in the preparation of the update of the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil for the three-year period 2025/2027, all those who are interested are invited - in particular citizens, companies, consumer associations, representative trade unions, other entities operating in the territory representing particular interests - to send observations and/or proposals to the Person in Charge of the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (RPCT), which will be evaluated when drafting the document.
