Wine Paris 2025: the Regional Institute of Sicilian Oil and Wine in the French capital for the prestigious international event

The Regional Institute of Sicilian Wine and Oil (IRVO) has organized two exclusive events to promote the island's winemaking excellence at Wine Paris, Paris held from February 10th to 12th in the French capital. Present were the Italian ambassador to Paris Luca Sabbatucci and the IRVO extraordinary commissioner Giuseppa Mistretta.

The first event took place Monday, February 10th at Ciccio Bar et Cuisine (20 Avenue Trudaine, 75009, Paris), where a tasting led by two industry experts took place: Nino Aiello And Raoul Salama.

During the evening, some of the most representative vines of Sicily were the protagonists, selected by prestigious wineries.

The second appointment was held Tuesday 11th February at 5.30pm at the Délégation Permanente d'Italie auprès des Organizations Internationales. The meeting with the title “Women and Wine: Celebrating Success – Stories that celebrate wine and historical figures of great women” It was an opportunity to tell the story of women's contribution to the world of wine, between history and innovation. The event was attended by the ambassador Luca Sabbatucci, Permanent Representative of Italy to the International Organizations in Paris and for IRVO of the IRVO Extraordinary Commissioner Giuseppa Mistretta.

"The Wine Paris balance is absolutely positive, not only for the recognition obtained for the quality and excellence of our wine, but also for the ability of the companies to be representatives of Sicily". The extraordinary commissioner Mistretta declared.

On the same day, February 11, the Masterclass curated by IRVO took place, with the participation of 50 members selected by the fair organization. The event offered an in-depth tasting experience, with six wines chosen by the Sicilian Master of Wine Pietro Russo, selected among the 32 companies participating in the IRVO collective.

The wines selected for the tasting best represented the Sicilian winemaking identity, with a focus on native vines.

Two intense days dedicated to the discovery and celebration of Sicilian excellence in the heart of Paris.
