SICILY WITH IRVO TELLS ITS STORY AT THE FINE WINETOURISM MARKET PLACE

The island's oil and wine itineraries are showcased in Valladolid, Spain.

L'Sicilian Regional Institute of Oil and Wine (Irvo) on Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th March will showcase the flavours and territories of the Island in Spain, in Valladolid, on the occasion of the FINE WineTourism Marketplace, the European event that becomes a crossroads for tour operators and international buyers seeking excellence. The 2026 edition will be a different story, drawing attention to wine tourism while also exploring olive oil routes for the first time. Thus, export opportunities are complemented by the growth of tourism, which impacts the economies of the areas where vineyards and olive groves flourish across unique landscapes, becoming a focus for tour operators and travel agencies specializing in this segment.

This is therefore an opportunity for Sicily, which boasts a precious, diverse, and widely distributed natural heritage, with fine labels and noble olive oil production, many of which are organic. The goal is to increase interest in wine and olive oil tourism in Sicily, which is increasingly becoming an unmissable destination for discovering fascinating places for passionate travelers seeking unique experiences combined with high-quality landscapes and products.

Irvo welcomes and presents in Spain, at the FINE WineTourism Marketplace, within the group exhibition, Assovini Sicilia and the Federation of Wine, Oil, and Flavor Roads of Sicily, which promotes the production of Marsala – Terre d'Occidente, Terre Sicane, Cerasuolo di Vittoria wine from Baroque to Art Nouveau, the Flavors of Etna, Val di Mazara, Valdinoto, and the Valley of the Temples. This year, individual businesses are also joining the group exhibition, with the participation of Azienda Agricola Madaudo Camporè, Donnafugata, and Duca di Salaparuta.
