Gis and Winery
On 24 July 2013 the Europa winery in Petrosino hosted the 1st Gis and Winery day. The information day is part of the programming of events financed with measure 111 of the Sicily PSR 2007/2013. The Department of Agricultural/Food Resources shared the initiative promoted by IRVOS through the Innovation Transfer Unit aimed at disseminating the use of GIS technology to serve the management of the winery. Participants equipped with their own PC worked on a specific corporate GIS project using open-source software (Q-GIS), producing specially developed thematic maps.
