STUDY TRIP TO FRANCE

17-22 JULY 2012

The Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily, as part of the activities aimed at training the human capital of those employed in the wine sector, is organizing a study trip to FRANCE in the period 17-22 July, in a highly qualified wine-growing area "BURGUNDY ”.

The trip has an educational and training purpose and therefore includes guided visits to wine-growing facilities of great technical, historical, cultural and scientific importance.

In particular, meetings are planned with researchers and teachers of the University of Oenology of Dijon, of the Beaune Wine High School, of the Confrèrie de Tastevin de Bourgogne, with the CIVB managers (Interprofessional Committee of Burgundy Wines) and educational visits to the Wine Museums and in some prestigious cellars of Burgundy and Beaujolais, etc.

France is a traditionally wine-growing country and has always been a point of reference for the sector on a global level, therefore the objective of the trip is twofold: on the one hand to get to know the most famous wine-growing areas in the world, with their landscapes, their top-quality wines quality, research, experiments and their transformation processes from grapes to wine and on the other to delve deeper into the commercial dynamics of their markets.

Technicians, operators and wine entrepreneurs will be able to participate in the trip at the discretion of the individual Sicilian companies who currently have an agreement with IRVOS, who will be able to indicate a maximum of two names.

Please note that there is a subsidized per capita participation fee of €500.00 thanks to a financial contribution from IRVOS, which Registrations will be limited and will be accepted in chronological order, therefore interested companies must send an expression of interest, complete with the names of the trip participants to the following e-mail address [email protected], no later than May 31st.
