The “Feudo Arancio project” was started by the Mezzacorona Group in 2001 with the purchase of a first property of approximately 300 hectares in Sambuca di Sicilia (Agrigento) and was completed in 2003 with the acquisition of a second, vast property of 650 hectares between Acate and Vittoria, in the province of Ragusa. The brand that includes the entire Sicily operation is Feudo Arancio. The estates have been completely redesigned from an agronomic and oenological point of view. In particular in Sambuca, the winery is built on the basis of the baglio, a typical rural structure characteristic of western Sicily, and has been set up to fully enhance the territory as a whole with guided tours, tastings and events. Inside the Feudo Arancio-Sambuca di Sicilia company, which has also received the very important EMAS 2 environmental certification (the only case in Italy of certification both on the winery structure of the cellar and on the agricultural company), there are also monumental tuff quarries of exceptional value and historical-artistic value.
