Scandinavian countries, first stop of the Irvos
Great participation in the first stage of Irvos, the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily, in the Scandinavian countries. Over fifty people, including buyers, entrepreneurs and sector journalists, took part in the seminar which took place yesterday in Oslo. The per capita consumption of wine in these areas has grown exponentially from 1999 to today and above all very quickly. The State Monopoly plays a fundamental role here for the import, distribution and sale of alcohol.
And this is what the Institute is focusing on, given that monopolies control and penalize imports. The next stages of the Scandinavian trip, which will last until February 11, will be Stockholm and Copenhagen. Twenty-six Sicilian wine companies are taking part. They all say they are already satisfied with the first "Scandinavian" response. Once again the wines of Sicily confirm their quality and are increasingly popular.
Like India, therefore, where Irvos stopped in January, recording great success and a great achievement (i.e. that of the lowest duties for high-end wines), Sicilian wine will also be able to find another alternative in the Scandinavian countries. market possibilities and depopulation.
Here are the participating wineries: Cantine Russo, Di Sisa, Luna Sicana, Cantine De Gregorio, Baglio di Pianetto, Ottoventi, Cottanera, Vinimar, Valle dell'Acate, Planeta, Limonio, Tenute Mannino, Castellucci Miano, Villa Scaminaci-Madonna, Azienda Agricola Costantino, Donna di Coppe, Baglio dei flamingo, Gulfi, Cantine Rallo, Cusumano, Tenuta di Fessina, Tenimenti Zabù, Villa Grisa, Dimore di Giurfo-Palari, Bartoli and Settesoli.
